Blogging for LGBT Families Day

This post is in honor of Blogging for LGBT Families http://mombian.com/2006/06/01/family-day-entries/

We have families some big some small some just beginning the journey. We all have the common bond of wanting to be parents. Our children reflect a greater part of what and who we are. Our children go through the same thing every child does. Why on Earth would anyone want to ostracize these kids? Wendy and I have 5 we are a blended family and co-parents. We take care of these children yet because of society we need to hide a lot of the time. I have to deny I have any kind of relationship at times because of ignorance. It is so damn fustrating. Oops gotta watch how we act in public so we don't draw attention to ourselves. It takes a lot out of outings at times and most of the time we can't fully relax and just go. Stop staring and start educating. We are just like everyone else we don't want extra attention we just want what we are entitled to -benefits and security for our families. If one of us dies we have the right to bury them without a mound of paperwork. I have a right to have my name on this house even if I am not working.
We are real and are not going away.
